Hi,
Can some one help me out on the above subject, i had birthcertificate which contains only my Father's name( This birth certificate got from MRO office at AP, India). One of my friend told me that the birth certificate should contain both Mother and Father's Name.
Can some one provide me sample birth certficate , so that it will helpfull to me send to my parents, so that i will get BC from MRO office, AP, India.

Please check with your local Indian consulate if they can issue a BC. If you have a current original passport which includes the names of both your parents, it should work fine. Your original BC is not required.

I worked for my employer at this vendor. At the time, my employer agreed on paper to give me a specified amount but only after the vendor pays. Vendor has been giving him troubles as regards my pay, so my employer made me wait frustratingly for months to give me pay. Just recently only after much trouble he released part of the amount. But now he learnt that he might have to go to court about the vendor. As a result, now he is denying me MY remaining pay!! I already waited for 4 months now, and can NOT take this strain anymore. My friends advised me to take this issue to Court or DOL. But my employer threatens that I will have no case.
Is that so?? Am I really required to wait like this months/years long if it takes that long for my employer to settle his matter with vendor?? Can an employer actually follow these kind of practice? Please provide your experienced advises.
Also kindly let me know how can I proceed if I want to file a DOL complaint? cant you find a new employer? once you do that, immediately transfer your H1 and also meanwhile file a case against this current employer.

You cannot come back to US because VO first cancels the existing valid visas before making a decision to grant a new one. You will have to return to your home country.

Also, my understanding is that: AC 21 need not be "INVOKED". Its "AUTOMATIC"...its a law, in place. I have seen so many threads here using the wrong terminology when it comes to AC 21. It is absolutely not necessary to (so called) "invoke" AC21. When you move to a different place you have to file AR-11 form and send it to USCIS...thats all you got to do. AC21 is automatically take care of.

You mean AR11 would take care of AC21? I am confused the AR11 is for change of address? How would it work if one's residential address is still the same but employer has changed...do you still file AR11 and you are covered under AC21?

Hello friends,
This may sound silly but I could really use some help here. My case has been current for a while now and its not been approved yet. Calling USCIS is no use since the Cust Serv Rep literally tell you the exact same words that are in the online status. I've been doing Infopass every week now for the past month. Last week they said that the case has been assigned to an officer. I'm going to Mumbai on Feb 3rd and was hoping that my case would be processed before then. Any ideas to get that file picked up by the officer?

After the lawerand medical examination took a long time my concurrent filing applicaiton was over night fedexed on Jun 28th from nj to nebraska and fedex did not pickup on Jun 28th due some weather and they try to deliver on Saturday which was Jun 30th and finally it was delivered on July 2nd 7:55AM and the check also not encashed and application also not returned.

USCIS has deliberately created circumstances for 7.5 million applications. For eg. why can 485 receipt not act as an Advance Parole and EAD ? It looks like they want more applications and then claim that they are very busy.
EAD, AP has time limits, your 485 receipt does not. USCIS needs to constantly monitor the applicants to make sure that anyone denied is leaving the country or turns into illegal. Otherwise, lawyers will be very happy to say that "their" client did not receive the denial notice and had therefore continued to live in the US legally.

check it your self. just put any number on the "XX" part and go to uscis.
another interesting thing i found out, they are approving a lot of ead from those filed on june 30, 2007 but then again they may not be Emplyment based application.

I filed for I-140/485 concurrently in Aug 2007. I got all receipts & EAD/FP done in November. Waiting for AP.
I see in my 485 status online, one LUD was on 12/15, other on 12/18 today. What is it? My PD is 2007 so I dont know why so many LUDs recently. Is there something to worry about?

I did some mistakes when I went for Visa intervew in March 2007, I have done a new form on line and printed again.If they have not changed the usage of online DS-156 you could do the same thing.
Some fields cannot be edited after you save for the first time like Passport Details (Number, Place of issuance etc).

I don't care about any in-state tution or financial assistance .
My question is, is it possible to even file for COS from H4 to F1 after getting F1 denied in India .
Here is the timeline
Nov 2010 - COS from H4 to F1 approved in US.
Dec 2010 - Went to india for F1 Stamping and it was denied.
Jan 2011 - Came to US on H4 visa .
Now is it possible to apply for COS to F1 again ? . Will the F1 denial in India have any impact on COS to F1 processing ?
Sure she can apply for COS to F1. I am not sure what impact denial in India will have, but its worth a shot. However, for OPT the student needs to be in F1 status for at least 1 academic year - so check with her school if she will meet the OPT requirement after switching back to F1
